Professor        
Professor Don Jacob Founder and CEO of The Purple Dragon Don Jitsu Ryu System. He has studied Martial Arts for over four decades. He holds a ninth Degree Black Belt . He has fought in many parts of the world and is a recognized international champion in various fighting forms - e.g. emphatic weaponry and multiple demonstrations. Professor Don Jacob received the Hummingbird Gold Medal in Trinidad this year,2010. The Humming bird Medal is awarded to persons in the private or public sector for loyal and devoted service to their community and country.
   

Sensei Clara Montoute

Sensei Clara Montoute is a fourth-degree black belt in Don Jitsu Ryu system. Clara Montoute, the head instructor at Purple Dragon Tampa, Florida, was presented the Outstanding Female Service Award for more than 20 years of service and inducted into the Caribbean Martial Arts Hall of Fame,2010.

   

                    Sensei Gary Montoute

Sensei Gary Montoute is a third-degree black belt in Don Jitsu Ryu system.  Sensei Gary Montoute,director of Purple Dragon Tampa, Florida, was presented the Outstanding Male Service Award for more than 20 years of service and inducted into the Caribbean Martial Arts Hall of Fame,2010.

   

 Instructor Douglas

Instructor Douglas is a first-degree black belt in Don Jitsu Ryu system. Instructor Douglas  received the Instructor of the Year Award and inducted into the Caribbean Martial Arts Hall of Fame,2010.

   

Instructor Heather  

Instructor Heather has been training with Purple Dragon of Florida for 9 years. She is currently a student at USF majoring in Telecommunications. Heather will graduate in May from USF and hopes to continue training at Purple Dragon.  

   

Instructor Cameron  

Instructor Cameron has been training with the Purple Dragon of Florida for 81/2 years and received his current title of Sho-Dan,first-degree black belt, in 2009 when he traveled to Trinidad for Black Belt training.

   

Assistant Instructor Monique Montoute

Monique has trained at the martial arts center since she was a toddler. Monique is now 14 years old and she now serves as an assistant instructor the Purple Dragon of Florida. Monique, who has a first-degree black belt, was inducted into the Caribbean Martial Arts Hall of Fame,2010. In the tournament's 40-year history, she is the youngest-ever female American to receive such a distinction.
